‘Scream 7’ gets freaky with Landon set to direct

Radio Silence will stay on to executive produce

Ghostface in Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group's "Scream VI."

Rumours (via Bloody Disgusting) that Happy Death Day and Freaky director Christopher Landon will take over directing duties on Scream 7 from Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are on the money, it seems. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Spyglass has locked Landon to direct the film, with the aforesaid duo staying on to executive produce alongside Chad Villella.

Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, and Mason Gooding are expected to return for the seventh instalment of the franchise but no word yet whether or not Neve Campbell, who opted not to return for the previous instalment, will make her return as Sidney.

Due to the ongoing strikes, it’ll be a while before production begins, let alone casting is announced.
