Official announcement is said to be coming but per the oft-reliable One Take News, Andy Muschietti, director of the well-received The Flash (opening June 15), has been tapped to direct DC’s Batman the Brave and the Bold.
No surprise after those early reviews for The Flash – which coincidentally features a couple of incarnations of the Batman character – that Muschietti would get the gig to introduce theater audiences to their next Batman. Based on Grant Morrison’s comic series, Batman The Brave and the Bold sees The Caped Crusader (still to be cast) teaming up with Damien Wayne, who takes on the mantle of Robin.
