Filming has kicked off on director Gil Kenan’s Ghostbusters movie – the title of which hasn’t been revealed, despite false rumors it’s Ghostbusters : Hell’s Kitchen – which is said to again team the fresh young cast and more recognizable veteran actors, respectively, of Ghostbusters : Afterlife.
Jason Reitman, who helmed Afterlife, remains on as a producer and co-wrote the movie with Monster House director Kenan and Jason Blumenfeld.
In this chapter, Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd’s OG Ghostbusters train a new group of Ghostbusters out of the original Fire House in New York City in the lead up to a big battle with a ghost from the past. Mckenna Grace, Paul Rudd, and Carrie Coon will also reprise their roles from the previous film.
The untitled Ghostbusters sequel will be released December 20, 2023.
