Yup, hot off the presses that James Gunn is writing a new Superman movie that will focus on a younger Clark Kent – working Daily Planet, mostly, by sounds before finding room in his life to wear a cape – Henry Cavill has confirmed the article, suggesting his days of Superman are over. That means – sorry Dwayne – he won’t be in Black Adam 2 (if there IS a Black Adam 2).
With Cavill rumored to be on the short list to play the next Bond – this axing from DC might actually free him up to do that, and might even be more noticing – and street talk that young actors like Tanner Buchanan and Noah Schnapp have met with Warner Bros/DCEU to discuss projects in recent times (Young! Superman!?), it will be a loss to fans but a win for others.
Have faith in James Gunn. He’s a long-time Superman fan. Superb writer. Amazing at casting. And makes damn good movies.
