Just as DC’s new brass put the kibosh on Wonder Woman 3, The Hollywood Reporter hears a sequel to Black Adam is also far from a sure thing.
James Gunn and Peter Safran are prepping their multi year plan ahead of next week’s pivotal presentation to WB Discovery CEO David Zaslav. What won’t be on that plan, says the trade, are projects Wonder Woman 3 – which the duo axed after thumbing their nose at the treatment -and a sequel to the recent Dwayne Johnson starrer Black Adam.
Gunn and Safran look to be cleaning house, eliminating all traces of the Snyderverse from DC as it pushes forward with what’s considered a money-saving reboot, and with Black Adam unlikely to cover production costs, the trade hears a sequel might be gone from the line-up.
