Hereditary actress joins new Exorcist

“Hereditary” actress Ann Dowd has joined the cast of Blumhouse, Universal, and Peacock’s “Exorcist” movie continuation.

The Emmy winner star of “The Handmaid’s Tale” joins Leslie Odom Jr. and Ellem Bursytn, back as as Chris MacNeil from the 1973 film, for the David Gordon Green directed film.

The pic, being penned by Peter Sattler and Gordon Green, is said to be the first in a new trilogy of “Exorcist” films.
