Per Deadline, Christopher Landon (“Freaky”) will write and direct a remake of Frank Marshall’s 1990 directorial debut “Arachnophobia”, which starred Jeff Daniels as an arachnophobia-stricken spider-hunter, with Amblin Pictures and “Saw” helmer James Wan on the producing board.
Per Moviehole, Wan has suggested that the film isn’t a redo at all but a direct follow-up to the original film with co-star John Goodman possibly being sought to return as exterminator Delbert McClintock (see below).
That would be nifty!
