She-Hulk’s Maslany will return for more MCU projects

Including a very ambitious crossover movie

NBC Universal

Tatiana Maslany is expected to reprise her role as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk in a soon-expected-to-be-announced MCU movie : “Secret Wars”.

According to SCARE scooper Rafe Oman on Twitter, Maslany is committed to not only that film but several other bigscreen MCU ventures.

This shouldn’t surprise comic book readers, since She-Hulk was a fixture of the twelve-issue comic book crossover that ran from May 1984 to April 1985, alongside characters such as Spider-Man, Namor, Black Panther, Doctor Strange and Thanos. (not that Marvel’s film adaptations of their comic book arcs have ever been a direct xerox).

For the unversed, “Secret Wars” involves the destruction of the Marvel Universe and various other alternate universes, with each universe’s respective Earth combining with each other into Battleworld, a planet that exhibits the aspects of the various universes.Various versions of different characters pop up in Battleworld.

While Marvel Studios hasn’t officially announced a “Secret Wars” film, the Russo Brothers, who have directed four MCU flicks, called “Secret Wars” “event-storytelling at its finest”, with Anthony saying: “It would be the biggest movie you could possibly imagine, so that’s what really excites us about the story – the ambition of it is even bigger than the ambition of the Infinity Saga.”

Maslany makes her debut as She-Hulk on Disney+ later this year.
