With their time winding down at DC, no surprise to hear Marvel wants to get their mitts on former “Justice League” members Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. As previously rumored, Kevin Feige’s crew are keen on having Oscar winner Affleck reprise his Matt Murdock/Daredevil role for a future film (see below; more likely to be “Secret Invasion”, says scooper ‘My Time to Shine’) but that’s not to say they don’t have further, more extensive plans for the “Argo” filmmaker down the road. There’s also talk of Superman Henry Cavill switching camps – which shouldn’t surprise those who’ve been keeping up with the kerfuffle between the studio and the “Man of Steel” actor.
Hot on the success of “Spider-Man : No Way Home”, ‘My Time to Shine’ also suggests we might see Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man return for more films – either more “Spider-Man” team-up movies, a possible “Amazing Spider-Man 3”, or even the floated “Spider-man Vs Venom” proposal that’s been floated.
Josh Brolin is likely to be on Marvel’s books too soon, reprising both Thanos and Cable (his “Deadpool 2” character) – whether those two pop-up in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is yet to be confirmed but sounds like the most likely place we might see them, especially with Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool said to be part of the May release.
