Kathleen Kennedy suggests Star Wars sequel characters will return

It would be pretty sad for “Rise of Skywalker” to be their swan song, after all..

While it’s likely news to the core cast – Daisy Ridley seems to have moved on, for one- Lucasfilm chief Kathleen Kennedy hints that she’s including characters from the recent “Star Wars” movie trilogy in future projects.

“Certainly, those are not characters we’re going to forget”, she tells Empire. “They will live on, and those are conversations that are going on with the creative team as well.”

With countless “Star Wars” TV and film projects in the works, it’s difficult to say what Kennedy has in mind for Finn, Rey, Poe, Kylo Renn and/or whoever this guy was, but she seems pretty confident “Rise of Skywalker” wasn’t the last hurrah for that crowd.
