Boston Brand to join the Justice League Dark over at HBO Max

DC Comics

DC are reportedly developing both a “Justice League Dark” and “Deadman” series for the telly.

According to insider Daniel Richtman, both will be produced for US streamer HBO Max.

The former, announced a few months ago, will be spearheaded by J.J Abrams and his production company, Bad Robot, who are working on a shared universe concept.

“Deadman”, which is yet to be officially announced by Warner Media, is based on the classic comic book yarn of Boston Brand, a circus trapeze artist who gets about in a cherry costume and pale makeup. After he is murdered by the Hook, Brand’s spirit is given the power to possess any living being.

HBO Max are also working on spin-offs of the upcoming “The Batman”, a new “Green Lantern” series, “Batwheels” and more. “Peacekeeper”, a spin-off of James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad”, premieres on the platform in January.
