“Bill & Ted” and “Disturbing Behaviour” alum William Sadler has joined the cast of Gary Dauberman’s “Salem’s Lot” over at New Line.
The actor, seen recently in “VFW”, revealed his casting on Twitter- but didn’t reveal which character he’d be playing.

Up-and-coming actor Lewis Pullman (“Bad Times at the El Royale”, “Top Gun : Maverick”) will play Ben Mears in the new take.
“It” writer Dauberman also wrote the script for the new adaptation, which will see Pullman play the role of the writer who returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a vampire, leading him to band together a ragtag group that will fight the evil presence.
Shooting to get underway in September in Boston on the production, with James Wan among the producing committee.
The 1979 mini-series version of “Salem’s Lot” was directed by Tobe Hooper and starred David Soul in the Mears part.
