Sony Pictures is rumoured to be pushing “Hotel Transylvania 4” straight to streaming.

With the delta variant strain of Covid-19 causing headaches for theater owners and distributors again, the studio is reportedly considering selling the release to a platform to bow.

Initially due for release in July, then delayed to October, the Adam Sandler-produced animated comedy sees Dr Van Helsing’s mysterious new invention transform Drac and his pals into humans, and Johnny into a monster. With their new mismatched bodies, Drac and the pack must find a way to switch themselves back before their transformations become permanent.

Derek Drymon and Jennifer Kluska direct the pic, which features the voices of Sandler, Kevin James, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, David Spade, Steve Buscemi, Kathryn Hahn, Jim Gaffigan, Molly Shannon, Keegan-Michael Key and Fran Drescher.
