Alien series will “Feel like a part of the cinematic universe”

Noah Hawley created series will air on America’s FX network in 2023

20th Century Fox

The upcoming “Alien” TV series from “Fargo” creator Noah Hawley will be very “grounded”, network boss John Landgraf shared during a Television Critics Association presentation on Friday.

“I think Noah’s very conscious of the fact that there’s a cinematic universe,” Landgraf said.

It was previously reported that the series will be set in earth and will combine both the horror and action of the original Ridley Scott and James Cameron-directed instalments. Scott will produce the series.

“I think you’ll also see that the show will feel like a part of the cinematic universe you’re familiar with in terms of Alien,” he continued.

The series, airing 2023 on FX in America, won’t feature series staple Sigourney Weaver as Ellen Ripley.
