The fifth “Indiana Jones” film kicks off production next week in the UK- and some zoom-heavy cameras have already captured some behind-the-scenes pics.
Strongly suggesting that haunted castle prologue from an unused draft of “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” may be being recycled by director James Mangold for the film, Bamburgh Castle on the Northumberland coast has been selected as a filming locale. In the abandoned sequence, Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones was to fight off a ghost while vacationing in Scotland.
Not much is known about the plot of the film, other than it is said to be set in the ’60s and is rumoured to be set around the race to space. Mads Mikkelsen is rumoured to be playing the villain of the piece.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook and Shaunette Renée Wilson will also star in the film, due July 2022.
