“In the Heights” actor Anthony Ramos is said to be close to snagging the lead role in the next “Transformers” movie.
According to Collider, Ramos will play a “flawed and vulnerable hero who has made mistakes in his life and is eager to redeem himself with the help of Optimus Prime.” in the Steven Caple Jr. directed film, currently being prepped by Paramount and Hasbro.
Joby Harold wrote the latest draft of the film, one of several “Transformers” projects in development at the studio.
