Aren’t Puns fun?
Hey there, fellow horror geeks and monsterphiles! Prometheus here with some exciting news!
Remember that “Hellraiser” reboot that was announced a while back? Well, it looks to be moving forward after all! As confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Spyglass Media has announced the director for the project to be David Bruckner (“Night House”)!
The story will be written by David Goyer (Night House), who will also be producing under his company Phantom Four, along with Keith Levine. The screen play is to be adapted by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski.
The original “Hellraiser” was written and directed by horror icon Clive Barker, and based off his novella “The Hellbound Heart.” To this day, despite years of lackluster sequels, Pinhead remains to be one of the most recognizable faces in horror! (Has anybody called Doug Bradley?)
No details on the plot yet, but the company is calling the reboot “loyal, yet evolved.” It’s also worth mentioning that Spyglass is planning a reboot of the beloved, cult classic “Scream.” Looks like a company to keep an eye on, fellow horror geeks!
Stay tuned for further details! Are you excited for a “Hellraiser” remake? Can it truly be Pinhead without Doug Bradley? Comment below!
Until next time, keep on geekin’ on, my friends!
