Jim Carrey looking for ‘crazy, visionary’ director for ‘The Mask 2’

Jim Carrey, seen next month in “Sonic the Hedgehog”, says he’s somewhat interest in bringing back The Mask!

The 58-year-old actor tells ComicBook.com that, aside from sequels to “Sonic”, he would definitely consider reprising Stanley Ipkiss for another go-round.

“The Mask I think, myself, you know, it would depend on a filmmaker. It depends on a filmmaker really. I don’t want to do it just to do it. But I would only do it if it was some crazy visionary filmmaker. Sure.”

“The Mask”, based on a little-known comic, made over $350 million off a $23 million budget. It saw Carrey’s Stanley Ipkiss, finding a magical mask that can transform both his face and body into… well, anything. Cameron Diaz and Peter Greene co-starred.

Carrey has only ever made two sequels, “Dumb & Dumber To” and “Ace Ventura : When Nature Calls”.
